Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Overview
CryptoNean ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. CryptoNean is a demonstration project for educational purposes and is not operated as a commercial service.
2. Data We Store
When you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials. We also store the content you create in the app — such as watchlist items and portfolio holdings — so that it is available to you when you sign in. Portfolio data, including quantities and buy prices you enter, is linked to your account.
3. Third-Party Data
Market prices, statistics, and news are fetched from the CoinGecko API and other public sources. We do not control how those third parties handle your data; we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.
4. How We Use Data
We use stored information solely to provide app functionality — displaying your saved data and authenticating your sessions. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Cookies & Authentication
We use authentication tokens (stored locally) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us. Because this is a demonstration project, data retention follows the underlying platform's standard behaviour.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed fully secure. Do not store sensitive financial information beyond what the app requires for demonstration of the portfolio feature.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
